Just Why?

this is the question that i ask myself on a daily basis: "just....why?"

so much shit is flopping around in the world, like so many drunken prom dates, and it begs me to ask just why is this the way that it is. where is Carl Sagan when you fucking need him?!

example:

just why do i get tagged in photos on FB when #1 i'm not actually in the picture and #2 i don't remotely know the person tagging me. i'm pretty good with faces and remembering names but some of these lack-luster twats tagging me in pictures are not even in my "i knew from way back" radar. i don't understand why you went thru a box of pictures and suddenly remembered me and thought it would be a super great idea to scan, save, post & tag me in a motherfucking picture when, in all completely viable reality, we were never friends to begin with.

yes, i was in a band. yes, you came to the shows. yes, we may have spoken to one another.

THAT DOESN'T MAKE US FRIENDS AND THAT DOESN'T MEAN TAG ME IN ONE OR MANY OF THOSE ARTIFACTS FROM THE DAYS WHEN YOU HAD A FIGURE AND WE SAW EACH OTHER 5 DAYS A WEEK.

it was school, it wasn't a friendly get together time when we were all cool because we migrated to the same concrete rooms with the overly shiny laminated wall info sheets.

the majority of people i went to school with were and probably still are just as fucking annoying as i remember them to be. graduation didn't change things between us. i still loathe you, severely.

get used to it, i'm misanthropic, just as much as when we had classes together.

don't think that growing up changes everyone and everything because it doesn't. if i hated to then, i still do and it will take several acts of god or some impossible accident to wipe out my memories of how incredibly useless you were/are/will always be.

with that said and fully expressed i would like it to be known that there are a select few who can get away with this photographic black mail and live to tell about it:

Jenna - Cami - Erika - Sarah (at least 3 of them)

Justin - Eddie - Andrew - Daniel

Travis (2 come to mind) - Brittany - April

Sonny - Jeff (also a whopping 2) - Angela (also with 2)
Kristen - Molly - Ginny - Rachael - Horace - Caleb
Big Matt - Little Rachael - Etc.

there may be more but i care not to think so much at this moment.
